Ninjacart-SnD application revamp
Ninjacart application is a B2B application which delivers farm fresh produces daily to the retailers.
At Ninjacart, we were planning on a complete revamp to improve the overall experience and update the interface as it has never had a redesign after the product was launched.

Market Research
With two goals in mind, that is Understand the user better to redesign the SnD application and Assessing task and overall flow level satisfaction I went to the Chennai Market.
The methodology opted for this is user interview and task flow. In this method, a set of questions were asked to gather feedback and to know more about the users of the app. The user is closely monitored while completing set of tasks and the results are made note of.
Insights (user interview)
All the users use the app to check prices of the available products
10 out of 16 users place order 2–3 times a week (min)
15 out of 16 users prefer paying by cash
2 out of 16 users use the app to check the price and place the order by calling the sales executive
People who are close to the MDC (Micro distribution centre) do the pickup. Other users choose to do standard delivery if the MDC is far and when they don’t have time
Trust factor is very important to them.
The main objective of them using the app is to check the prices of the products, so they could set prices in their shop accordingly.
Skeptical to try different things, more than okay with sticking to what they believe

Insights (Task Flow)
I had three important flows to notice. Adding the fruits and vegetables to the cart, product delivery, payment methods
4 out of 16 users place the order by remembering the click counts (muscle memory)
2 out of 16 users actually know how to use the application. They were able to follow all the steps
Users barely use search option. They scroll until they find the product they want to order
Has loading and OTP issue
Quantity flexibility was suggested
Not aware of switching the language, proceeded with images
Login is not prominent as a result they fail to place the order

Summary
Being the first market visit I’ve ever done, I learned a lot of things! This has been one of the major learnings of 2023 for me. Understanding the target audience will help me provide a better experience that they need.
In summary, this has helped me in increasing the likelihood of creating successful products that meet customer needs and expectations.
